Toronto 0-0 Phildelphia

Danny Koevermans's late strike helps Toronto FC to their first MLS win of the season.

Toronto have won their first game of the season with a late goal to sink Philedelphia Union.

The home side started on the front foot and could have twice taken the lead after just eight minutes. However, Reggie Lamb squandered both opportunites in quick succession.

Toronto looked the more likely to break the deadlock, but the sides went in goalless at the break.

The second half was much of the same, with Toronto continuing to threaten the Philadelphia goal.

Danny Mwagna nearly gave the visitors the lead in the 75th minute but Milos Kocic was on hand to deny him.

The game looked to be heading for a draw until Danny Koevermans shot past Chris Konopka from inside the box just two minutes from time.
