Wissam Ben Yedder gives Toulouse win over Nice

Wissam Ben Yedder earns Toulouse a 1-0 win over Nice in Ligue 1.

Wissam Ben Yedder scored the only goal of the game to earn Toulouse a 1-0 victory over Nice on Saturday.

The home side could have been ahead within the first minute, but Ben Yedder's volley from inside the box flew just wide of the post.

Nice then hit back with two great chances but Nampalys Mendy and Dario Cvitanich both hit their long-range efforts over the crossbar.

Toulouse responded as Ben Yedder dribbled to the edge of the box before cutting an effort just wide of the post.

The hosts came close again in the 28th minute when Serge Aurier's searching cross fell to Martin Braithwaite, but the striker could not hit the target from a difficult position.

However, Toulouse finally went in front 10 minutes before the break when Ben Yedder brilliantly headed home a Issiaga Sylla cross from the wing.

Toulouse climb to ninth in the table, while Nice remain fifth in Ligue 1.
