Toulouse see off Sochaux

A goal in either half is enough for Toulouse to defeat Sochaux in Ligue 1.

Unanswered goals from Adrien Reggatin and Emmanuel Riviere saw Toulouse claim all three points from their home encounter with Sochaux this afternoon.

Having dominated the opening exchanges, the home side broke the deadlock with 26 minutes played as Reggatin scored with a free kick that was struck 25 yards from goal.

Toulouse had further chances to extend their lead before the break, but they were unable to add a second goal to their tally.

Visiting Sochaux produced a greater attacking threat after the restart, but their failure to find the net was eventually punished five minutes from time.

Etienne Didot picked out Riviere inside the area and the French striker duly sent the ball into the bottom corner of the net.

The three points have moved Toulouse up to 12th in the table.
