Chelsea 'only Premier League club to have offered David Alaba contract'

Chelsea are reportedly the only Premier League club to have offered a contract to Bayern Munich defender David Alaba.

The Austrian international's current deal expires this summer and he is expected to leave the club, following the arrival of RB Leipzig centre-back Dayot Upamecano in July.

90min reports that Real Madrid remain the favourites for Alaba's signature, although Chelsea are still interested in the 28-year-old and are the only English top-flight club at present to have tabled an offer.

Premier League champions Liverpool and Manchester City were understood to have previously been interested in Alaba, who is considering the possibility of playing in England, however both clubs made it clear to the player's camp that they have decided against a move for the defender.

Bayern are understood to want to keep the Austrian, although Alaba is now at the stage of his career where he wishes to seek a fresh challenge and would prefer to move to Spain.

Alaba, who has made over 400 appearances for the German giants since joining in 2009, has won nine Bundesliga titles as well as two Champions League triumphs.

Sergio Ramos 'to leave Real Madrid with Manchester United, PSG interested'

Real Madrid defender Sergio Ramos is supposedly certain to leave the Spanish champions at the end of the season.

The 100-goal centre-back's contract talks are yet to bear fruit with Los Blancos, and he now has less than six months to run on his current deal with Zinedine Zidane's side.

Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain are both believed to be keeping a close eye on developments, and according to Spanish journalist Josep Pedrerol, there is "no way back" for Ramos at the Bernabeu.

Speaking to El Chiringuito, Pedrerol said: "Sergio Ramos is leaving Real Madrid. I don't think there's any possibility of him staying. There's no way back.

"Real Madrid believe it's a fact and believe that Ramos deserves to sign for whatever team he wants to earn one last big contract before finishing his career. In these circumstances, Real Madrid won't offer him more money."

Pedrerol also criticised Ramos for refusing a salary decrease as part of a new deal, saying: "It's a shame and I think Ramos is making a mistake. Make an effort. Take 10% less and sign for two years and then, if the financial situation improves, this can improve too."

Ramos is currently sidelined after undergoing surgery on a serious knee injury, but he is expected to return to the pitch before the season is over.
