Steve Bruce has just been speaking to the press following his side's
3-0 defeat against West Ham United, where he insisted that he will "try his best" to land new faces before the transfer window slams shut.

When you're battling to stay in the Premier League, having an in-form striker in the squad can be vital, and Rudy Gestede is believed to be attracting interest from Crystal Palace, West Bromwich Albion and Hull City. However, Blackburn Rovers are reported to have slapped a £6m price tag on their forward, which has apparently
angered Gestede.
