Bojan Djordjic has joined Belgian club Royal Antwerp on an 18-month contract.
The 29-year-old had been without a club since being released by Championship side Blackpool last month.
Djordjic had been training with former club Manchester United to keep him in shape, for which the Swede is thankful.
"It feels great. It's time to get to play some matches, it has been tough to not play football for a long time," he told Expressen.
"I am grateful that United take care of their former players. I accepted their offer."
Djordjic made one senior appearance during a six-year stint with United.
