Granit Xhaka close to Bundesliga move

Basel midfielder Granit Xhaka has revealed that he is closing in on a switch to Bundesliga side Borussia Monchengladbach.

The 21-year-old had been linked with moves to Liverpool and Manchester United.

However, the Switzerland international claims that the clubs simply need to agree a fee for his services ahead of a summer transfer.

"Personally, I have nothing to hide," he told the Swiss press. "For me, everything is settled. Now it's up to the clubs to decide."

Basel are believed to value Xhaka at around £8m.
