Brazil legend Ronaldo speaks out on Luis Suarez ban

Legendary Brazil striker Ronaldo speaks out about the ban handed to Uruguay's Luis Suarez for biting Italy's Giorgio Chiellini at the World Cup.

Brazilian legend Ronaldo has spoken out about FIFA's punishment of Luis Suarez, claiming that the outcome will be like leaving the striker in a "dark room with the big bad wolf".

Suarez has been given a nine-match ban alongside being prohibited from partaking in any footballing activities for four months, as punishment for biting Italy's Giorgio Chiellini.

"I know that bites hurt – my young kids used to bite me and I'd punish them," Ronaldo told the press in Brazil.

"In my home punishment is called the dark room with the big bad wolf and for an adult I guess that's the same thing with a four-month ban."

Suarez will now miss Uruguay's remaining games in the tournament, despite having a vital impact on their progression into the last 16.
