Paco Alcacer, Alvaro Negredo on course for Villarreal clash

A report claims that Valencia are hopeful of having both Paco Alcacer and Alvaro Negredo fit and available for Sunday's La Liga clash at home to Villarreal.

Valencia are hopeful that both Paco Alcacer and Alvaro Negredo will be fit to face Villarreal in Sunday's key La Liga clash.

Alcacer has been out of action since early February with a knee problem, but has since returned to first-team training.

Negredo, meanwhile, also picked up a knee injury in Valencia's 4-0 win over Elche last week and had been tipped to miss this weekend's clash.

However, according to AS, both players have been placed on a special programme to ensure that they will be fit to face the Yellow Submarine.

Valencia, who have won 18 of their 28 league games this season, currently sit third in La Liga.
