Gary Neville reveals season aims

Valencia boss Gary Neville reveals that his aim for the season is to lead Los Che to a top-four finish in La Liga, in addition to winning the Europa League title.

Valencia boss Gary Neville has revealed that Los Che's aims this season are to finish in the top four in La Liga, in addition to winning the Europa League title.

Neville will lead the Spanish club until at least the end of the campaign after replacing Nuno Espirito Santo at the helm.

In an interview with Marca, the former Manchester United defender said that "there's enormous talent" in the Valencia squad and set out the team's ambitions in the second half of the season.

"There's enormous talent [in this squad]. I've seen a lot of football in recent years and I appreciate [the players'] talent," Neville told the Spanish publication.

"The development of these players is going to be huge, but the younger ones aren't the finished product yet. They need to mature, gain experience and work hard and develop both a good physique and understanding of football.

"The aim is to finish in the top four, to get into the Champions League, and win the Europa League. It's difficult, but it's a challenge we've set ourselves and we have to maintain it. We can't drop silly points. [The top four] was what we achieved last season and we should never be below expectations."

Valencia return to La Liga action away to Villarreal on December 31.
