Javi Fuego hails Valencia team spirit

Javi Fuego says that Valencia have a great team spirit and want to improve upon the success that they achieved last season.

Valencia midfielder Javi Fuego has said that the club are heading in the right direction.

Los Che enjoyed an impressive season last term, as they finished fourth in La Liga to book a return to the Champions League.

"We will continue with the journey we started last year, which for me is the right journey," Fuego told reporters. "We need to train to the maximum day after day.

"Last year we used various systems and this year we are starting with three central defenders. We have alternatives and some players still need to adapt.

"It is a squad rich in options. We are lucky to be in a very good dressing room and the people coming in are fitting in quickly because nobody thinks they are better than anyone else."

Valencia last won the La Liga title in 2004 under Rafael Benitez.
