Nuno: 'Valencia still on track'

Valencia boss Nuno refuses to criticise his side following Sunday's 1-1 draw at Celta Vigo.

Valencia boss Nuno has insisted that his team are 'still on track' to 'achieving their objectives' this season.

Los Che dropped points in a 1-1 draw with Celta Vigo at the weekend, but Nuno has refused to criticise his side despite the fact that they have now relinquished fourth spot to Sevilla.

"Despite the result, I can't blame my players because they gave everything at a difficult venue. I'm proud of them all," Nuno told reporters.

"We wanted to win, but we're now on 35 points and still in reach of achieving our objectives.

"The point will serve us well if we beat Almeria next weekend because it will confirm our very good first half of the season."

Earlier on Monday, it was confirmed that Nuno had signed a new long-term deal with Valencia.
