Almeria shock Valencia at Mestalla

Almeria pick up their first win of the season against Valencia at the Mestalla this evening beating Los Che 2-1.

Almeria have picked up their first La Liga win of the season by pulling off a surprise 2-1 win against Valencia at Mestalla this evening.

Brazilian midfielder Jonas gave the home side the lead just after the half-hour mark when he slotted home to score his fifth goal this season.

However, the away side hit back just after the hour mark when Marco Torsiglieri powered a header home to level things up.

Aleix Vidal gave his side the lead with 20 minutes remaining when his shot was deflected in off Juan Bernat.

Sergio Canales nearly equalised for his side when he fired against the crossbar seven minutes later, before Sofiane Feghouli was denied from close range from keeper Esteban almost immediately after.
