Jonas salvages point for Valencia

Jonas strikes an 82nd-minute equaliser as Valencia hold Osasuna to a 1-1 draw at El Sadar in La Liga.

Jonas struck an 82nd-minute equaliser as Valencia held Osasuna to a 1-1 draw at El Sadar in La Liga this afternoon.

The hosts took a 19th-minute lead through Oriol Riera, who was on hand to convert the rebound after Roberto Torres's effort was well saved by goalkeeper Vicente Guaita.

Javi Gracia's men were unfortunate not to double their advantage shortly after the half-time whistle, as Torres had Guaita beaten this time, but his effort bounced off the post.

With eight minutes of normal time remaining, Juan Antonio Pizzi's troops drew level through the Brazilian, who received a pass from compatriot Vinicius Araujo before firing home the equaliser.
