The home side did open the scoring after 23 minutes, however, when Tino Costa found the bottom corner after good work from Sofiane Feghouli.
It was 2-0 to Valencia moments before the interval when Artiz Aduriz found the bottom corner with the away side struggling to cope with the flow of play.
Mallorca found themselves back in the game after 57 minutes, however, when Emilio Nsue coolly finished inside the area, before Victor levelled the match at 2-2 with a fine finish after 65 minutes.
Daniel Parejo missed a golden chance for the home side after 72 minutes but simply could not find the target, before Pablo Piatti came close ten minutes before the final whistle.
