Valencia too strong for Levante

Goals from Pablo Piatti and Sofiane Feghouli prove enough for Valencia to get the better of Levante 2-0 at home in La Liga.

Valencia have defeated Levante 2-0 at home to enhance their chances of finishing in the top six in La Liga.

Los Che surged ahead three minutes before half time when Pablo Piatti collected a loose header from Loukas Vyntra and fired home into the bottom corner.

Juan Antonio Pizzi's side wrapped up the points at the Mestalla 17 minutes from full time through Sofiane Feghouli, who marched into the Levante penalty box and clipped his shot into the top corner.

The result lifts Valencia up to eighth in the league table, while Levante are 13th.
