Valenciennes appoint Ariel Jacobs

Ligue 1 outfit Valenciennes confirm the appointment of 60-year-old Ariel Jacobs as their new manager.

Ariel Jacobs has been named the new manager of Ligue 1 side Valenciennes.

The 60-year-old has replaced Daniel Sanchez, who was sacked last week with the club bottom of the table.

Jacobs, who was most recently in charge of Danish side FC Copenhagen, has previously managed Anderlecht and the Belgium Under-21 side among other teams.

His first match in charge will be a trip to Rennes on Saturday evening.
