Three goals within the opening 45 minutes helped Evian on their way to claiming maximum points from their trip to Valenciennes this afternoon.
Despite starting the brighter of the two sides, the home team fell behind in the 29th minute. Saber Khelifa was the scorer for Evian, finishing off a cross from Thomas Kahlenberg.
Evian's lead was doubled just six minutes later when Kevin Berigaud slotted in following a breakaway move.
The points were made safe one minute before the break thanks to Yannick Sagbo, who converted a penalty after David Ducourtioux had been penalised for committing a handball inside the area.
Evian continued to create chances after the restart, but they were unable to add to their tally for the afternoon.
