Half-Time Report: Carlos Tevez double puts Juventus in command

Carlos Tevez scores twice to give Juventus a 2-0 lead against Hellas Verona after 45 minutes of their Serie A match at the Stadio Marc'Antonio this afternoon.

Two goals from Carlos Tevez have given Juventus a 2-0 lead in the first half of their Serie A meeting with Hellas Verona at the Stadio Marc'Antonio.

Tevez gave the visitors the advantage in the fourth minute of the match when he followed up Kwadwo Asamoah's blocked effort to slot into the net from close range.

Juventus were in firm command and scored a second midway through the half. Tevez was slipped into the box by Paul Pogba and drilled a low strike into the bottom corner past Rafael.

The Argentine striker came close to completing his hat-trick after picking up the ball in acres of space inside the box, but hammered a strike high over the bar.
