Team News: Three debutants for AS Roma against Hellas Verona

Edin Dzeko, Mohamed Salah and Wojciech Szczesny make their AS Roma debuts in the Serie A opener at Hellas Verona.

Edin Dzeko, Mohamed Salah and Wojciech Szczesny have been handed their AS Roma debuts in the Serie A opener at Hellas Verona.

Dzeko starts in attack ahead of Gervinho and Salah, while Szczesny goes straight into goal after his loan move from Arsenal.

As announced yesterday, there is no place in the matchday squad for Ashley Cole, increasing speculation that the defender has no future at the Italian club.

Meanwhile, for Verona there is a debut for former AC Milan man Giampaolo Pazzini, who starts up front alongside last season's Serie A top goalscorer Luca Toni.
