Villarreal sack Jose Molina

Villarreal have sacked manager Jose Molina following Sunday's 1-0 defeat at Levante.

The Yellow Submarine have endured a poor season and are just three points above the relegation zone in 17th place.

The 41-year-old former goalkeeper took over at the club in December after Juan Carlos Garrido was dismissed.

Molina made 18 appearances for Villarreal during a 17-year playing career which ended in 2007.
