Villarreal forward Nilmar has edged closer to completing a move to Qatari club Al Rayyan.
The 27-year-old had been expected to leave the Spaniards over the summer following their relegation from La Liga.
"Nilmar [is set] to complete the negotiations attached to the club Al Rayyan," read a club statement.
The Brazil international joined Villarreal from Internacional in 2009.
