Nilmar joins Al Rayyan

Brazilian striker Nilmar has completed his switch from Villarreal to Qatari club Al Rayyan.

The 28-year-old departs the Spanish club following their relegation from La Liga last season, and despite European offers, he has agreed to move to Qatar.

Villarreal released the following statement on their official website: "Villarreal and Al Rayyan have come to an agreement for the transfer of Brazilian striker Nilmar Honorato da Silva, who will play the next season in the Arab club."

Nilmar has signed a four-year deal with the club.
