Walter Mazzarri targets more of the same from Watford

Walter Mazzarri admits that victory over Manchester United was "very important" for Watford, as they made it back-to-back wins in the Premier League.

Watford manager Walter Mazzarri has praised his players following their improved performances over the past week and insisted that there is still more to come from his side.

The Hornets beat Manchester United 3-1 at Vicarage Road on Sunday afternoon to make it back-to-back wins in the Premier League, following a previous run of three games without a victory.

Mazzarri's tactical alteration to bring on Juan Zuniga proved to be an inspired decision, as the substitute scored just 53 seconds after entering the field to help life Watford into the top half of the table.

"It is a very important three points to give my players the confidence to go ahead," he told BBC Sport. "We were playing well, we conceded a goal and we stopped playing and we were afraid. But then we made the changes and everything went the right way.

"It is something we have to work on. We have been improving a lot. I don't look too much on results but how we play and we have been improving dramatically. I am very happy about this. We have to go to Burnley next Monday and play in the same way."

Watford return to action in eight days' time when facing Burnley at Turf Moor.
