Championship leaders Southampton have joined West Ham United in the race to sign Watford striker Marvin Sordell, according to The People.
The England youth international has attracted the attention of a number of clubs this season, having found the net on occasions.
West Ham are believed to have had a £2m bid turned down for the centre-forward recently, while the Saints are said to be prepared to offer up to £3m.
Watford are keen to keep hold of the 20-year-old and have placed a £5m price tag on his services as they attempt to scare off potential suitors.
