Watford 'close' to Matej Vydra deal

Watford boss Gianfranco Zola has revealed that the club are close to signing on-loan Udinese striker Matej Vydra.

The 20-year-old, who has scored 19 goals for the Championship club this season, has reportedly attracted the interest of a host of Premier League clubs.

However, Zola told reporters: "We are working on getting it done this week. I believe both parties want it, so we are trying very hard."

Watford currently occupy fourth spot in the Championship table.
