Watford have reportedly made a bid for an AS Roma midfielder in an attempt to secure the signing in January.
The Hornets are currently involved in a relegation battle, as they sit just four points above the drop zone at the moment, which is why Claudio Ranieri is looking to increase his options.
According to AS Roma Live, the English club have made a bid to sign Amadou Diawara in January on a loan deal until the end of the season to bolster their squad.
However, at the moment there is a disagreement between the two parties in regards to his valuation for a potential right-to-buy clause, with Watford being willing to pay £8-10m which is £5m lower than the Italian outfit sees it.
The midfielder has not featured regularly for Jose Mourinho's squad this season, having only featured in 145 minutes throughout the entire campaign.
