New Watford manager Gianfranco Zola has dismissed rumours linking the club with a move for former AC Milan frontman Filippo Inzaghi.
The 38-year-old poacher is a free agent after leaving Milan this summer and has been said to be considering a move to the Championship.
It emerged earlier today that Reading have reportedly offered a contract to the striker.
However, Zola today cooled the rumours that he is close to signing his fellow countryman for the Hornets.
"Obviously he is a player with a big name and I normally don't talk about players that are not my players," the Italian told Sky Sports News.
"As far as I am concerned I have got players to look after here and I am going to focus on them.
"Inzaghi is a big name and he is an intriguing name, but as a manager I have to focus on my resources."
Zola watched his new side struggle to a 1-1 draw with non-league side Borehamwood this evening.
