Wolfsburg secure all three points from their away trip to Werder Bremen in the Bundesliga.

Wolfsburg have pulled 10 points clear of the Bundesliga relegation playoff spot thanks to a convincing 3-0 win over Werder Bremen.

The result sees them climb above Stuttgart, while also putting five points between themselves and today's opponents.

Maximilian Arnold opened the scoring for the visitors in the 13th minute when he fired beyond Sebastian Mielitz's bottom left corner from long range.

Vieirinha found Ivica Olic inside the box in the 27th minute and he slotted home to double the advantage.

Dieter Hecking's men were comfortable at half time as they led by two goals and Diego put them out of sight in the 66th minute.

He converted from the spot after Ozkan Yildrim had brought down Vieirinha inside the box.

Diego Benaglio was forced into action late on by Aaron Hunt, but the hosts had surrendered meekly long before and remain in trouble at the bottom half of the table.
