No decision made on Aaron Hunt future

Aaron Hunt denies reports that he has agreed to leave Werder Bremen when his contract expires in the summer, with the club adding that there is no news on his future.

Aaron Hunt and Werder Bremen have both denied reports that the German international has already agreed to leave the club at the end of the season.

Tottenham Hotspur, Southampton and Bayer Leverkusen have all been linked with interest in the 27-year-old, whose contract expires in the summer.

Reports this week claimed that Hunt, who has scored three goals in 21 Bundesliga appearances this term, has informed Bremen that he will be moving on, but this has been branded as "pure gossip."

Hunt told Deutsche Presseagentur: "It is not true. I have yet not made a decision on my future in the game."

General manager Thomas Eichin added: "This is pure gossip, there is no new info on the future of Aaron Hunt available. We are in talks and we have spoken about every detail.

"He will still have the time to think about it. I know how important this decision is for him as a person. Aaron wants to know how we are to make general progress as a club. [Due to recent results] we feel some things are to mesh again."

Hunt has been at Bremen for his entire career and has been capped three times by Germany.
