Tony Pulis "very pleased" by victory over West Ham United

Tony Pulis hails his West Brom side following their emphatic 4-0 win over West Ham in the FA Cup fifth round.

West Bromwich Albion boss Tony Pulis has praised his players following their emphatic 4-0 win over West Ham United in the FA Cup.

The Baggies reached the quarter-finals of the competition on Saturday thanks to a comfortable triumph in front of their own fans at The Hawthorns.

Brown Ideye netted twice for the hosts, while James Morrison and Saido Berahino also got on the scoresheet.

"It was a good performance and I'm very pleased but there is still a long way to go," Pulis told BT Sport. "We need that bit of luck with the next draw.

"Things went our way and I'm really pleased for the players and, scoring four goals, all the punters who came to watch. Ideye was fantastic. He is scoring goals and that takes the weight off your shoulders and he looks a good player."

West Brom return to Premier League action next Saturday when they face Sunderland at the Stadium of Light.
