West Bromwich Albion boss Roy Hodgson has said that his side produced a "sterling" performance to overcome Stoke City at the Britannia Stadium this afternoon.
Hodgson, whose side had to score in added time to overcome Stoke's late equaliser, insists that he's satisfied with however his team earn their points.
"It's always important to get victories," he told Sky Sports News. "We've paid a high price for one or two last-minute goals which have robbed us of points, which we thought we perhaps should have had.
"Today we've given a good performance, got a good victory. It's important to get your points. It's nicer at times to get them at home, but as long as you're getting them, as a coach, you've got to be satisfied.
"I thought today we were good value for our victory. It was a sterling performance from the lads and an excellent three points."
West Brom travel to Carrow Road to take on Norwich in the FA Cup next weekend.
