West Bromwich Albion fullback Steven Reid is expected to miss a month of action after undergoing a successful knee operation.
The former Blackburn Rovers man picked up an ankle knock at Newcastle United in midweek, but the operation was for separate wear and tear that had built up over the past few months, according to a statement on the club's official website.
Meanwhile, the Midlands outfit will be hoping that Reid recovers from his twisted ankle within the same timeframe.
The Baggies are currently in tenth place in the Premier League.
