West Bromwich Albion have reportedly made a bid to sign Udinese striker Matej Vydra on a season-long loan.
The Czech Republic forward impressed while on loan at Watford last season, scoring 20 goals in 27 games for the Championship side as they made the playoff final.
Now, the Baggies are hoping to land the 21-year-old on a similar deal to boost their striking options ahead of the new Premier League campaign.
Watford manager Gianfranco Zola has not given up hope of re-signing Vydra, though that is now looking less likely with top-flight sides chasing the player's signature.
Steve Clarke has already brought Nicolas Anelka to the Hawthornes this summer.
