Enner Valencia doubt for Arsenal clash after suffering "freak accident"

West Ham United boss Sam Allardyce reveals that Enner Valencia is an injury doubt for Saturday's Arsenal clash after suffering a "freak accident" at home.

West Ham United manager Sam Allardyce has revealed that Enner Valencia could miss Saturday's Premier League clash against Arsenal after suffering a "freak accident".

The 25-year-old, who has scored five goals for the Hammers this season, required stitches after cutting his foot on a cup while at home.

"We're not sure if he will be considered for this game," Allardyce told reporters this morning. "It was a freak accident. Enner has had an accident at home and has cut his big toe quite severely on a broken cup. It has been stitched."

West Ham are currently 10th in the league table.
