Carlton Cole disappointed with West Ham United defeat

Carlton Cole expresses his disappointment with West Ham United's defeat against Manchester United in the Premier League.

Carlton Cole has expressed his disappointment with West Ham United's 3-1 defeat at Manchester United in the Premier League.

The Hammers were comfortably beaten at Old Trafford on Saturday as they extended their winless run to four matches.

"I thought we didn't have a great first half, but we imposed ourselves a little bit better in the second half. We changed formation and gave them a few more things to think about," Cole, who scored a consolation goal for West Ham, told the club's official website.

"At the end of the day, we were away at Old Trafford, but we did really think that we could come here and upset things. We didn't, that's football and hopefully we can go on to our next game now and get the result we need."

West Ham continue their Premier League campaign on Boxing Day when they welcome Arsenal to Upton Park.
