West Ham United boss David Moyes admits that his players must deliver a positive response to their defeat at Brighton & Hove Albion last weekend.

West Ham United boss David Moyes has suggested that he has spent the week trying to "correct things" after the defeat to Brighton & Hove Albion.

Last weekend, the Hammers suffered their first Premier League setback of 2018 as they succumbed 3-1 at the Amex Stadium, with Brighton deserving of their victory on the south coast.

West Ham play host to Watford on Saturday afternoon, and Moyes has acknowledged that he wants to see a much-improved performance against the Hornets.

At a press conference, the 54-year-old told reporters: "The players have responded well, we didn't play well down there and we know that but the response has been great. Their attitude, commitment and effort in all the games has been excellent and we have had some big wins, we need another one against Watford.

"I just needed to correct things. Get things right, back on track and what we want and hopefully, in the main, we have been on a good run and want to keep it going."

West Ham currently sit one place and three points behind Watford in the top-flight standings.
