David Moyes has reportedly selected Stuart Pearce to be his assistant manager should he be named as the new boss of West Ham United.
On Monday morning, the Hammers confirmed that Slaven Bilic had been sacked with the club sitting in 18th place in the Premier League table, and Moyes has been strongly linked with the vacant position.
According to The Sun, Moyes has asked former England Under-21 boss Stuart Pearce to assist him in his new role, which could be confirmed as soon as Tuesday.
Pearce has not been in the dugout since leaving his job as Nottingham Forest boss in February 2015, but the 55-year-old has previously managed Manchester City in the Premier League.
The former England international also made 50 appearances for the Hammers during the closing stages of his playing career, which ended in 2002.
