West Ham United defender Dan Potts will be kept in hospital overnight following a head injury during Wednesday's Premier League defeat at Arsenal.

The 18-year-old was stretchered off unconscious at the Emirates Stadium after a collision with Gunners defender Bacary Sagna.

The England Under-19 international is understood to have regained consciousness, but he will be observed by medical staff through the night.

Despite taking the lead at the Emirates, West Ham went on to lose the match 5-1.
