Mohamed Diame keen to extend West Ham United stay

West Ham United midfielder Mohamed Diame says that he wants to be with the club when they move to the Olympic Stadium in 2016.

West Ham United midfielder Mohamed Diame has said that he wants to open talks with the club over a new contract.

The 26-year-old joined from Wigan Athletic last summer, but has revealed that he is keen to be with the Hammers when they move to their new stadium in three years.

"I imagine myself at the Olympic Stadium but it's 2016 and I hope to sort my contract as soon as possible to make sure I play there," he told the Daily Mail.

"With the transfer window we will start to talk, at the moment we are not talking. I hope it is as soon as possible."

West Ham are currently 16th in the Premier League table.
