West Ham United coach Wally Downes has admitted that Norwich City striker Grant Holt would be a great addition to the team.
The Hammers have reportedly offered £4m for the Canaries frontman although Norwich chief executive David McNally claimed that no bid had been made.
Holt has apparently handed in a transfer request at Carrow Road, and Downes would love Upton Park to be the 28-year-old's next destination.
"Sam [Allardyce] does like a big guy up front but we have got [Nicky] Maynard and [Sam] Baldock who score goals when they are in the side," Downes told talkSPORT.
"[Carlton Cole also] weighed in with his 15 last year but when you go into the Premier League the more firepower you have got the better.
"I'm sure a centre forward will be on the list as will all other positions. Sam is away at the moment and I haven't had any conversation about Grant Holt with him so I couldn't confirm or deny that."
City captain Holt scored 15 Premier League goals last season in his debut Premier League campaign.
