Peterborough United have revealed that they have rejected a bid from West Ham United for Jaanai Gordon.
The striker has spent the last few weeks training with the Hammers and Posh director of football Barry Fry has now confirmed that a bid was made and promptly rejected on Friday.
"Jaanai has been excellent for West Ham in the last two weeks in training and in friendly games," Fry told the Peterborough Telegraph.
"The staff there believe he has enormous potential. A bid was made yesterday but we have rejected it."
Gordon, 18, scored five goals for West Ham's Under-18s and Under-21s.
