Saint-Etienne president Roland Romeyer has confirmed that the club are interested in signing West Ham United striker Modibo Maiga.
The Ligue 1 side are currently in the market for a new forward following the sale of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to Borussia Dortmund.
"Maiga is a player we have studied," Romeyer told beINSPORT. "Maiga is one of the options we have looked at but there are other players. We will make a signing as soon as possible."
The Mali international joined West Ham from Sochaux on a four-year deal last summer.
