Sports Mole rounds up the latest transfer news and rumours, including Fikayo Tomori to West Ham United, Vitaliy Mykolenko to Napoli and Che Adams to Torino.

West Ham United are reportedly pursuing a move for AC Milan defender Fikayo Tomori after their deal for Nice's Jean-Clair Todibo hit a brick wall.

The Irons were believed to have agreed a deal to sign Todibo on loan with an option of £26.8m to buy him permanently, but the Frenchman is instead holding out for a move to Juventus.

Todibo is already said to have reached an accord with the Old Lady, and while there is still no agreement between the two clubs, West Ham's pursuit is now likely to end in failure.

As a result, the Daily Mail claims that Julen Lopetegui has identified Tomori as a possible target after the former Chelsea man blossomed in Serie A with AC Milan.

Tomori was supposedly on the verge of signing for West Ham on loan in 2020, but the England international snubbed a move to the London Stadium at the last second.

The centre-back has since registered seven goals and one assist in 142 matches for Milan, winning the 2021-22 Serie A title, and his contract at San Siro runs for another three seasons.

Everton 'make Vitaliy Mykolenko decision' amid Napoli interest

From a defender possibly returning to the Premier League to one potentially departing, Everton have reportedly come to a decision on the future of Vitaliy Mykolenko, who is wanted by Napoli.

The Ukraine international has been a crucial cog in Sean Dyche's system and made 34 appearances in all competitions during the 2023-24 campaign, scoring two goals in the Premier League.

Mykolenko was also called up to Ukraine's Euro 2024 squad, but he played just 58 minutes at the competition, having arrived with an ankle injury he picked up at the end of the season.

Mykolenko is now in the last two years of his contract with the Merseyside giants, but according to Football Insider, Dyche has no intention of losing the left-back this summer.

There had been talk of Mykolenko being used as a makeweight in a deal for Jesper Lindstrom, but Dyche is keen to land the Napoli creator without having to part ways with any of his players.

Mykolenko boasts three goals in 85 matches across all competitions for the Toffees, who have already seen Ben Godfrey's exit to Atalanta BC deplete their defensive ranks.

Che Adams 'closing in' on Serie A switch

However, one former Premier League star who could soon be plying his trade in Serie A is Che Adams, who is reportedly on the verge of signing for Torino.

The striker became a free agent at the start of July after running down his contract with Southampton, who were promoted back to the top flight for the 2024-25 campaign.

The Saints were believed to be in talks with Adams over a contract extension, but an agreement could not be reached, and the Scotland international is now set for a new adventure in Italy.

According to journalist Fabrizio Romano, Torino are closing in on the capture of the 28-year-old, who has given the thumbs-up to the Serie A side's project.

Adams will leave England following stints with the likes of Sheffield United, Birmingham City and Southampton, who paid £14.1m to bring him to St Mary's in 2019.

The Scottish attacker scored 15 Championship goals last season as the Saints returned to the Premier League at the first time of asking, while he also started all three of Scotland's games at Euro 2024.

Ex-Arsenal, Liverpool man 'offered' to Premier League clubs

Speaking of former Southampton players, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is supposedly being offered back to clubs in the top flight after failing to make the grade at Besiktas.

The erstwhile Arsenal and Liverpool man joined the Turkish giants as a free agent last year following the expiry of his Anfield terms and registered four goals and one assist in 30 matches for the club during his debut campaign.

Oxlade-Chamberlain is contracted to Besiktas until the summer of 2026, but he has apparently been deemed surplus to requirements and is free to leave before the transfer window shuts.

According to The Sun, Oxlade-Chamberlain has a real chance of returning to England on a season-long loan deal, so long as any interested parties agree to pay the majority of his wages.

A few unnamed Premier League sides are said to have thrown their hat into the ring for the midfielder, who was previously wanted by both Brentford and relegated Sheffield United.

Oxlade-Chamberlain made 235 appearances in the Premier League for Arsenal and Liverpool, winning the 2019-20 edition with the latter, and he remains the Gunners' most expensive sale of all time following his £35m switch to Anfield in 2017.
