West Ham United and Real Betis are reportedly hopeful of reaching an agreement for midfielder Pablo Fornals to move to the Spanish side on deadline day.

Real Betis are reportedly edging nearer to securing the signing of West Ham United midfielder Pablo Fornals.

On the back of having already signed Kalvin Phillips on loan earlier in the transfer window, David Moyes is eager to make at least one more fresh addition before close of business on Thursday.

However, as much attention is being paid to outgoings, with winger Said Benrahma on the brink of signing for French side Lyon.

Furthermore, the Hammers have received interest from Betis for Fornals, who has endured a frustrating campaign at the London Stadium.

Just 11 starts and 12 substitute outings have been made by the playmaker, with the Spaniard having failed to contribute a single goal or assist.

That has seemingly led to Moyes being prepared to do business, providing that West Ham receive their asking price for the 27-year-old.

According to Sky Sports News, Betis are confident that they will eventually settle on terms with their West Ham counterparts.

Although the Premier League outfit are said to have rejected Betis' opening bid, there is now seemingly a willingness to do business on West Ham's part.

Fornals has spent the last four-and-a-half years in England having cost an alleged £24m when leaving Villarreal for West Ham in 2019.

Should he link up with Betis, Fornals will be reuniting with a manager in Manuel Pellegrini who brought him to London at that time.
