West Ham United manager Sam Allardyce has reportedly made Eder Balanta one of his major summer transfer targets.
The 21-year-old, who plays for River Plate in Argentina, is a member of the Colombian squad that is competing at the World Cup in Brazil.
Allardyce has sent a scout to watch the defender in action, with a £6m bid in the offing, according to The People.
The report added that the East Londoners will face competition from a host of European clubs for Balanta's signature.
