West Ham United manager Sam Allardyce has confirmed that the club have begun negotiations with Gary O'Neil over signing a new contract.
The midfielder, who signed for the Hammers from Middlesbrough in 2011, has been linked with a move away from the Boleyn Ground as his contract is due to expire in June.
"For Gary, negotiations are ongoing and that will be done between the chairmen and his agent now," Allardyce told the club's official website.
Meanwhile, the Premier League club have confirmed that striker Carlton Cole has not been offered a new deal.
