West Ham United have reportedly ended their pursuit of Lyon striker Alexandre Lacazette.
Towards the end of last month, Lyon president Jean Michel Aulas revealed that West Ham had made an offer of £30.9m for the France international, but that bid was rejected.
According to the Daily Mail, Lyon are not prepared to sell the 25-year-old for anything less than £40m, which is a transfer fee that West Ham are not prepared to meet at this stage.
Lacazette came through the youth system at Lyon and has netted 92 goals in 229 appearances for the French club, including 23 in 43 matches during the 2015-16 campaign.
