French midfielder Morgan Amalfitano has had his contract with West Ham United terminated by mutual consent.
The 30-year-old joined the Hammers in September last year and scored three goals in 32 appearances for the club.
The former France international signed a new deal with the club in March, but had been training with the Under-21 side after reportedly falling out with Slaven Bilic.
Amalfitano, who has one cap for his country, previously spent a season on loan with West Bromwich Albion, where he made 28 Premier League appearances.
He has been linked with a return to his former club, and was also rumoured to be attracting interest from Saint-Etienne.
