West Ham United have confirmed that Modibo Maiga has moved to French club Metz on a season-long loan.
The 26-year-old was expected to leave Upton Park after failing to cement a first-team spot with the Hammers.
The Premier League outfit have confirmed that Maiga will move to the French club on a temporary deal with the option to make it a permanent move after the season.
The striker made 37 appearances for West Ham after joining from Sochaux in 2012.
